Hudson is really cranking out the fun programs this year, and then they are remembering to send me photographs and information about it! (hint, hint)

To celebrate the Summer Reading Program theme of One World, Many Stories, the library recruited 20 volunteers with a connection to another country. They provided activities, stories, things to look at, art projects and more, and families moved around the library and interacted with them–sort of like an International Fair. Pretty cool, eh? And a great way to use the library’s many smaller spaces effectively.

Turnout was a little small for Hudson–100 were in attendance. It was a hit with attendees and volunteers alike, and the library thanked the volunteers with a party after the program was finished. For more on how this was organized, contact Mary at mmdavis @ hudsonpubliclibrary.org.
