The Hudson Area Public Library is seeking a qualified, service-oriented candidate to fill part- time, non-benefitted Library Assistant I position. The Library Assistant I is responsible for providing high-quality customer service, performing circulation tasks, assisting library users with technology, checking-in library materials, and other library-related tasks.

The available schedule requires flexibility and includes weekends and evenings. The available schedule is:

18 hours per week

Monday Wednesday* Thursday Saturdays

2:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.,
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (rotating—once every 6 weeks)

*Please note the Wednesday / Thursday shifts will change to 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. effective January 1, 2020.

Schedules are subject to change and flexibility in scheduling is a must.

The ideal candidates will be highly organized, understand the Dewey Decimal system, be responsible, flexible, dependable, and should be team-oriented. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, A.A./ A.S. is preferred. Experience working in a library is a plus.
